It is clean and comfortable, theres friendly staff. Someone apparently set off a fire alarm and the whole hotel was evacuated at 11 pm. We had to stand outside in the cold until the fire dept. cleared the building. Sometimes its nice to have a little excitement but it wasnt last night at 11 pm

Wife and I stayed here and it is a top notch hotel, clean, comfortable, great breakfast, and the staff was superb. We had to check out early, and thought we'd have to forfeit some of our payment, but Jon the manager worked with us. I was floored that he got us the refund. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
It's the only reasonable option in Canon City, but the hotel needs improvement. We arrived around 10:30, and had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come check us in. I called the hotel several times while standing at the front desk thinking it might make someone come faster, and nothing happened. The bed is comfortable, but the room smells funny. The ceiling in the shower is peeling and needs repair. The pool and hot tub could also use updates - the jets in the hot tub don't even work. Not worth the price they're asking.
Great place to stay. Convenient to the Royal Gorge Railway and Holy Cross Abbey. Friendly staff.
