We were on a long weekend trip to Colorado mid August 2017 and wanted to do a white water rafting trip. After much research, it looked like Royal Gorge Rafting would fit the bill. It was an AMAZING adventure. Quinn was our guide and he kept us VERY SAFE on the water.... They provided all the gear you needed and gave very good instructions as to what to expect and how to stay safe.... White water rafting was on my bucket list and so glad we chose Royal Gorge Rafting... I would definitely return for another ride down the Royal Gorge. Thanks again Quinn for keeping us safe on the water.
I was with a group of about 10 guys looking for a rafting trip this past weekend, and we wanted to raft through the Royal Gorge. We decided to try Royal Gorge Rafting -- what a terrific choice! These guys were fun, friendly and incredibly skilled at their work. Everything was handled quickly, professionally, and positively. They had everything we needed in terms of equipment, along with top quality rafts. But the best thing of all was the run through the gorge -- about 15 sets of rapids, with 5 class 4's. Ernst was the guide for the boat I was in (with 3 of my friends) and he was a master. Not only an excellent, positive instructor but a friendly, talkative guy.
This was one of the most fun activities I've ever done, and I am so glad we chose a company as good as this for the experience. We had a great day all around with this outfit.
We debated between seeing the Royal Gorge via the train or by white water rafting. Definitely glad we chose white water rafting with Royal Gorge Rafting. Brian was our guide and he was awesome. He kept us safe while ensuring we had a really fun time. The trip was challenging at times (nothing impossible though) and thrilling. We went during low water and did fine. We're in decent shape but don't work out. There were 3 people in our boat, including an older gentleman, who had never done it before and they all did just fine. Be sure to wear stuff you don't mind getting wet. They have water shoes you can borrow for free. The best part of the trip by far though was the views. Rafting down the Arkansas river surrounded by canyon, seeing old historic structures on the shore and having the train pass right next to you was indescribable. Definitely an unforgettable experience.
After the trip, we ate at the on-premise restaurant. You know you're being upsold by everyone on the staff recommending it -- except that this time, the restaurant was as good as they said. Fun, positive, good food, generous portions, reasonable prices, decent service -- a great casual fun lunch.
We had a great experience yesterday rafting for our first time. Critter, our tour guide, made the trip fun and exciting. He focused on safety but guided us all through the rapids making sure we cleared the rocks. Amazingly we kept the raft upright and had no swimmers. We will definitely be back!
Amazing experience. The views we're great! The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. Mills was the guide in my raft. He knew every rock, turn, and inch of the river. He allowed for a fun safe afternoon of white water rafting. A note for anyone who goes off season like I did, wetsuits are included.
