After leaving Colorado, I was just in awe how wonderful the medical field is OUTSIDE of Colorado. Some may say that they've never had a problem with any of their doctors or even this doctor. But this is my experience and the man damn near killed me. The emotional toll that this has taken on my family is still here today. I AM still having complications. I just had surgery for a intestinal blockage at the sight of the first connection Dr Tim Brown preformed. My quality of life is truly damaged because of his work. I'm still undergoing surgeries and procedures to fix what he did. This is my personal experience with Dr. Tim Brown.

I absolutely, after my experience with this particular doctor would not recommend him to anyone. TO ANYONE. I would recommend that you do your research before you or someone you knows goes through with this surgery and with this doctor.

During my stay in the ICU..I have lost several days of memory because of the sepsis. How do you get a single day of your life back? You can't. Several days. I had to have a Picc line put in and a Central line sewed into the side of my neck. And all Dr Tim did was call my ICU room and say that he thought he had everything closed..He didn't know what went wrong. My husband was FURIOUS looking over at me hooked up to all kinds of lines and in an ICU bed.

Dr Brown is great!!!!

Just called to set up a new patient appointment. Front desk "lady" was VERY rude and condescending. Sounded annoyed in her tone of voice and had a terrible attitude. Because of her I will not go to this establishment and will tell everyone I can to stay clear. Do NOT work in a drs office if you can't handle your job. Quit or fix your damn attitude.

I had the gastric bypass done by Dr. Tim Brown on May 24th 2011. I was discharged to go home on May 26th. (2 days later) May 27th, I was BACK in Emergency exploratory surgery to stop severe leakage which also caused sepsis so intense that I was admitted to the ICU unit at St. Mary-Corwin hospital. I also had to have a central line put into my neck, 2 Thoracentesis (a procedure to remove fluid from the space between the lungs and the chest wall called the pleural space. It is done with a needle and sometimes a plastic catheter inserted through the chest wall.). After the surgery, diarrhea accompanied EVERY meal. And I do mean EVERY meal. I moved to St. Louis and found a doctor that specializes in Bariatric surgery and patients at Des Peres Hospital. I saught out Dr. Stephen Scott and underwent an examination for all the diarrhea and abdominal pain. I also was not losing weight with my bariatric diet but found that I was at the same weight, not moving for a year. Dr. Scott did a laproscopic examination to find out that my anastomosis was at 30 mm. ( anastomosis is a surgical connection between two structures. It usually means a connection that is created between tubular structures, such as blood vessels or loops of intestine.) Which is the bottom of the new pouch or stomach if you will. It should have been 8-10 mm wide. Mine was left at 33 mm. Food was falling through and I couldn't get full. but instead I was having diarrhea with every meal. My B12 was low, my calcium was low, iron was low..in essence I was malnourished. Hair was falling out more than the norm after the surgery. I ended up going under anesthesia 5 times..FIVE to fix the anastomosis issue. Dr. Scott was able to get it to 15mm. Afraid of causing a stricture, he stated that he felt the best option was a revision.

I was only initially involved but found his office with some questionable ethics . I got the initial price off the internet but then was told there was additional charges for the surgery center and anaesthetic. I decided to go ahead with the consult and they waited until I showed up that it was an additional 150. For the consult. If his office can't be trusted to start out with I will not trust them to so surgery
