I spent the night with plans to go to the Royal Gorge today. Unfortunately, i had breakfast at the Waffle Wagon. Of course i had a pecan waffle. My husband also had a waffle. I knew mine tasted bad, but my husband confirmed that his was bad too. They tasted raw inside. The waitress was very sweet and brought another one, but even though it was crunchy on the outside it was still weird tasting. They didn't charge us and we left and went back to the room. We stayed in our room all day with nausea and diarrhea. No trip to the Royal Gorge for us
I've eaten there multiple times. The Waffle Wagon cooks a much better breakfast for a much better price than any of the chain restaurants.
And....... it has a genuine small town ambience.
I had chicken fried steak n eggs with hash browns then asked for green chili instead of gravy. Good food, good service, fair prices. I'll go again.
Good old fashioned home cooking menu. Fair prices but often slow service at peak times, but worth the wait.
Very reasonable prices. Fast service. Great meal. Friendly staff.
Great food and service. LOVE the home made green chili. I personally believe it is the best in the county. Well worth any wait.
Wish I had given them a try sooner.
