The food came out quick but the chicken nuggets for the kids were overcooked and that amazed me because we were the only people in the entire restaurant.
The waitress appeared new and the manager watched as she struggled through trying to settle the bill on the way out. He didn't make any effort to thank us for coming in or to even acknowledge we were there.
The waitress came back to our table about every minute or so asking if we were ready to order, a total of about 6 times in 10 minutes. We still had the menus open and we're trying to get all 6 of us situated, with 4 kids at a table there needs to be patience when getting together an order - and it is not like they were busy.

They could have done so much better to take care of us and make this a great experience, especially being the only ones there. In addition, weekly on Sundays we normally go out as a family so this was a loss for the restaurant on what could have been repeat business.
Colorado omelet was dry but the portions were huge. I also had the red velvet pancakes which looked way better than they tasted. The actual pancakes didn't have much flavor, but were smothered in icing that was disgustingly sweet. If you like that sort of thing, you may like the red velvet pancake, but I did not like the low flavor / too sweet icing combo. Buttermilk pancakes that my friend had were way better. Service was also not great. It wasn't busy but our server never came back to check on us (she was chatting with another customer for the entire time).
The place was super cold. We were the only ones there on a Sunday afternoon and when we requested that the air be at least turned down it seemed that it was ignored and it only got colder. We rushed through eating the food and trying to get out of there because we were all shivering cold.
The IHOP in Fountain Colorado is mediocre at best. The only reason I go is because my grand daughter likes to get pancakes from there. I have had lousy service and a long wait time even when they're not very busy. Plus usually my order is not correct.
On a good note Bathrooms were clean, most of the food was delicious just the experience that the employees delivered was less than memorable.
I ordered a hot chocolate and it was delivered to me in a sticky cup. The server did not bother to wipe off the over flow. And my stuffed French was still frozen in the middle, mind you it took 25 minutes to get it and there are only 5 tables taken in the whole place. I normally love this place this makes me so sad.
