Love Village Inn, no matter where they are. Ay here plenty back in 70's, when I was at the Abbey.
Last night my fiancé and I went to village in for a late dinner. He ordered a ultimate skillet with no mushrooms with 2 of the new handmade sausages on the side. I ordered the French toast with eggs and hash browns. When we got our food his order had mushrooms, we told the server he couldn't have mushrooms (he's allergic) and my order was fine. After about 10 minutes he got his corrected order and we ate. He finished about 1/2 of his meal before he started feeling sick, I only finished my French toast before I felt sick. We didn't think much of it. We got some boxes and paid for our meal and got half way home before we needed a restroom. We were sick all night long, we went to urgent care first thing this morning. Turns out we got food poisoning. I can say this will be the last time we will be eating at village inn. A nice night with a $32.00 meal, turned into both of us missing a day of work, a doctor visit, 2 prescriptions each and feeling horrible for over 24 hours.
Village Inn, thank you for the quality. I would rate our experience about 3.5 stars. I honestly would consider the meal to be lunch portions at approx. $6-7.
My wife purchased two roast beef dinners to go. When she arrived home with them, we were disappointed at the amount of beef. For $10 per meal, we received five pieces (each approx 1 1/2" cube) in each meal. Other than the meat portion for the price, the meal tasted very good.
He was a real life saver, you don't that level of kindness anymore. The food looked excellent. My Son loved his.
