Lots of history in one place. Admission is a good deal. Staff is friendly and courteous. Would recommend taking a tour and checking out the history of the town.
Fun really well put together museum. Really good cell room displays you can mostly walk in and read about. Also has a great gift shop!! Truly a gem and a great historic piece. Won't take you long to get through but absolutely worth it.
Took family to the tour. Very informative and was a educational learning experience for my boys.
Really interesting prison museum, sitting adjacent to a Correction Centre. Some moving exhibits of a bygone era, wonderfully preserved. A good 2 hours spent here learning about justice (and injustice).
Going here was a really neat adventure. Much thanks to Tonya for showing me around and explaining some of the preserved history there. Everything was well laid out and easy to access. If you're a corrections nerd, much like myself, you'll really love this place...and if not, you get a great sneak peek in to what a real prison used to look like long ago. Not to mention the spook factor in the basement. Play your cards right, you may have a brush with the paranormal.
