Zero Stars. I was in a bad way and broke down in Canon City, Colorado during a snowstorm. My car was towed there, and I received a phone call from them. "It's bad, it will be 6300 bucks" is what the man said. I said, " I'll get back to you and hung up the phone. I called my mechanic in Colorado Springs and they said they would pick it up. When I called Austin Automotive and told them about the tow, they suggested that I scrap my car and charged me a fee for looking at the car which I paid. Austin Automotive told the tow truck driver that the car was seized up which was not true. My mechanic in Colorado Springs got me running for a fraction of the price, and gave me a conditional 6 month warranty on the repair. In my opinion Austin Automotive wanted to make a repair on my "scrapped" car, and resell it for a profit.
Excellent people and service. Towed my car in after I broke down on the way through town, diagnosed, and figured out the solution all in a couple hours on a busy day.
Austin Automotive has worked on multiple vehicles for me over the years and has always gone above and beyond what you would expect from an automotive garage. From the way you are greeted walking in the front door to the high quality work they do, no business treats you better. I recommend them to anyone and everyone who ask. These guys did an awesome job. I originally took the truck to the Chevy dealership who informed me that I would need to replace the entire rear end. Spending $$$$$ didn't sit well with me so off to Austin Automotive I went. Mark listened to my concerns and asked for the keys so one of the guys could take it for a ride to listen to the noise. The end result, all I needed was new rear axle bearings. These guys run an honest business and are not out to take advantage of others. Truck has been fine ever since, and they saved me lots of cash.
